  4. Site installation by Ezzogenics installers, with coordination on shared sites.
  5. Final cleaning, documentation and defect walk-through.

Sub-topics

Glass installation and repair

Tempered glass, laminated glass and frosted glass for home, commercial and retail use. Scope covers glass doors, shower screens, partitions, mirrors, glass shelves and shopfront glass — selected to the project's daylight, privacy and safety considerations. Replacement and re-glazing are quoted as a separate scope.

Railings, balustrades, doors and gates

Glass railings, balcony railings, staircase railings and stainless steel balustrades — interior and exterior — using clamp, channel or stand-off systems sized to the design loading. Doors and gates cover swing and sliding leaves, automatic gates, security gates, anti-climb fencing, BRC mesh and steel hoarding. Window grilles, casement / sliding / top-hung windows and aluminium fixed panels round out the residential scope.

Facades, curtain walls and cladding

Frameless glass facade, louver-blade facade, glass curtain wall, aluminium glass linkway and glass-and-metal cladding. Skylight framing and shopfront glass are coordinated with waterproofing details. Curtain-wall and unitised systems are coordinated with the appointed Professional Engineer for structural verification and the supplier for performance data.

Metal fabrication and welding

Custom stainless steel and mild steel works, gates, grilles, railings, custom metal structures and structural steel works. Metal welding is carried out per the appropriate procedure for the grade and section. Finish options include powder coating, paint and hot-dip galvanising; lockers and galvanised sheet lockers are produced for residential, commercial and industrial uses.

Singapore glass selection guide — choosing glass before quotation

Glass selection in Singapore is rarely a simple thickness call. Float (annealed) glass is basic vision glass and is not a safety glass on its own. Heat strengthened glass offers higher thermal and mechanical strength than annealed but is not classed as safety glass. Fully tempered glass is stronger and breaks into small fragments, but post-breakage behaviour, edge condition and any residual nickel-sulphide inclusion risk should be considered for overhead, barrier or fall-risk locations. Heat-soaked tempered glass adds a kiln process to reduce the risk of spontaneous breakage from nickel-sulphide inclusions. Laminated glass uses an interlayer (PVB, SGP or similar) so fragments are retained after breakage — relevant for balcony glass, glass railings, staircase glass railing, void edges, overhead glazing and many shopfront glass cases. IGU and DGU (insulated/double-glazed units) seal a cavity for thermal and acoustic performance; Low-E glass and solar-control glass coatings help manage solar heat gain, glare and UV while preserving daylight. Fire-rated glass systems are tested assemblies — the rating belongs to the glass, frame, beads, seals and hardware together, and cannot be inferred from the glass pane alone. We use this orientation when advising on glass selection Singapore, glass replacement Singapore and glass installation Singapore scopes — including glass doors, glass partitions, shopfront glass, facade glazing, safety glazing and balcony glass. We are a contractor and installer, not a glass manufacturer; final suitability and compliance — particularly for safety glazing, glass barriers, fall-risk areas, overhead glazing and fire-rated glass systems — should be checked against the project requirements by the relevant QP, PE, supplier, consultant or authority where required. Our Singapore glass selection guide is available as a PDF in the downloads list below.

How we help you choose safer, cooler and clearer glass before quotation

Before issuing a quotation, it helps if customers send: project location and property type (HDB, condominium, landed, commercial, industrial, retail, F&B, mall fit-out); photos of the existing glass or proposed glass location; approximate panel size or run length; frame details (aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel, frameless, channel, clamp or stand-off); height from finished floor and whether the glass is above head height or beside a drop or void; and the main concern — heat, glare, safety, falling glass, noise, privacy, fire rating, impact risk or code compliance. With this, we can shortlist the practical glass direction (for example tempered vs heat-soaked tempered, monolithic vs laminated, single vs IGU/DGU, with or without Low-E or solar-control coating, or whether a fire-rated glass system is needed) before suppliers are asked to quote. This shortlist is contractor advice based on field experience; it does not replace the appointed QP, PE, supplier, consultant or authority sign-off where required by the project, the host building or the prevailing codes.

EN 10025 and material-selection references

For carbon-steel and stainless-steel work — handrails, balustrades, cat ladders, gates, awning frames, skylight framing and similar — material grade, coating system and corrosion category drive durability more than visual finish. Our EN 10025 steel grades comparison reference, in the sidebar, walks through S275, S355, SS304 and SS316 against yield, weldability and coastal corrosion, with a downloadable workbook used in our shop.

Doors and windows — supply and installation via Ezzo.sg

For homeowners and tenants asking specifically about door and window supply, replacement and installation, our customer-facing site Ezzo.sg covers entrance and internal doors, casement, sliding and top-hung windows, aluminium framing and grille options. The two door/window catalogues in the downloads list are the same references we issue to retail enquiries — the Glass & Metal service page remains the right entry point for project, contractor and consultant scopes.

Common use cases

  • Architects and ID firms specifying balustrades, partitions, shopfronts and curtain walls.
  • Building owners replacing aged railings, gates, windows or louver systems.
  • Tenants needing glass partitions, doors, glass storefronts and signage frames for fit-outs.
  • Industrial sites and warehouses needing fencing, hoarding, anti-climb mesh, lockers and structural steel works.

What to send for a site visit or quote

  • Site address, location (interior, balcony, facade) and approximate dimensions or run length.
  • Existing condition photos and any drawings or shop drawings already issued.
  • Material grade preference (e.g. SS304 vs SS316; galvanised mild steel; aluminium) and finish (powder coat, paint, hot-dip galvanising).
  • Glass type (tempered, laminated, frosted), thickness and any safety-glazing requirement.
  • Project programme, delivery access (loading bay, lift size) and any building or estate restrictions.

What we don't claim

  • Structural members, balustrade loadings, glass panel thickness and curtain-wall design should be confirmed by the appointed Professional Engineer (PE) or qualified person where required.
  • Material grade selection (e.g. SS304 vs SS316, mild steel coating systems) depends on exposure conditions and service life — verify with the supplier and consultant before order.
